Investments: Kshs. 3, 000 per person or Kshs. 5,000 for couples

Continuing Education: Training of Trauma Therapists at Oasis Africa

In Kenya today, the need for professional psychological services is at an all time high. To meet this need, practicing psychologists should work hard to grow their skills and to complete the required hours of Continuing Education. Others in training need to ensure that they gather all the expertise they can graduate to become worthy practitioners in psychology.

World Mental Health Day Event by Basic Needs UK In Kenya, Railways Sports Club Nairobi, Saturday October 13, 2012

The Basic Needs UK in Kenya organized a Family Fun Day event commemorating the World Mental Health Day that is celebrated on October 10. This year’s theme was “Depression: A Global Crisis”. Organizations in attendance included Basic Needs, Kenya Psychological Association, USIU, Oasis Africa, Joyce Nexus Ltd, Caritas Nyeri, International Institute on Legislative Affairs (ILU), NACADA, Schizophrenia Foundation of Kenya, Mazingira Consortium, The Kenya Police, Kenyan Poets Lounge, Kenya Power who donated 150 t-shirts, Westlands Chess Club, I&M Bank, Africa Yoga Project and Wonderland Foods and Catering Supplies, among others.
